Peggy has always loved working in pastels ever since taking some college classes many years ago. After retiring from a rewarding teaching career she found she had the time to pursue her art once again. After taking workshops at Woodstock School of Art and the Pastel Society of America in New York, she continues to try to share the beauty she sees in nature through her paintings. She focuses mainly on nature and landscapes. She has exhibited her work in the MidAmerica Pastel Society 2020 National Exhibition, the 19th Biennial National Exhibition of the Degas Pastel Society, the 21st Membership Exhibition of the Degas Pastel Society and the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts juried art exhibition: Images 2018 & 2019. She has also shown her work in collaborative exhibitions at the Chamber Gallery, Carbondale PA; Lackawanna College Environmental Institute, AFA Gallery, Scranton PA; Glenburn Invitational Art Show, Glen Burn, PA; and Scranton's Voluntary Action Center's and St Joseph's Center's Silent Auctions, Scranton PA. She is a juried associate member of the Pastel Society of America, a member of the Central Pennsylvania Pastel Society and a signature member of the Degas Pastel Society.
